The Yarra Valley is known for its food and wine but did you know that much of our produce is thanks to our fantastic Italian heritage.

From the potatoes in Gembrook, to the strawberries throughout Wandin, the orchards in Coldstream and the famous Yarra Valley Pasta of Healesville - Italian families have been generously feeding us all for generations.

To celebrate this piece of our history Healesville’s Green Street will again host the Festa di via Verde which coincides with the international Targa Florio car race arriving in Healesville. An historic event that boasts around 100 of the world’s most desirable classic cars pulling up into River Street - who wouldn’t want to be a part of it?

This is the 103rd anniversary for the Targa Florio and only the 3rd time it has been held outside of Sicily, Italy (the first being in 2017 - also here in the Yarra Valley).

Ciao Yarra Valley Ciao is a month-long celebration of all that is Italian throughout the region and Festa di via Verde (Green Street Festival) will be a highlight. Activated alongside these stunning cars will be a festa of Italian performances that range from the squeeze box to opera, lawn games and tomato throwing contests plus cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and more.
